Rob Keko is an Australian freelance guitarist/composer/producer/university associate lecturer and private guitar teacher based in Brisbane, Australia. Rob gained his vast musical experience performing in numerous original rock and metal bands, cover bands and tribute shows; as well as accompanying vocalist’s, solo artist’s and playing solo instrumental acoustic repertoire in cafés and restaurants over the past 12 years.

A prolific composer and producer, Rob writes and arranges original music for a wide range of creative projects including: documentaries, kickstarter campaigns, independent games, short films and radio jingles. Rob completed a Bachelor degree in Contemporary Music Practice, and in recent times graduated with an Honours degree of Arts and Design; resulting in a publication for his thesis “The Real Deal: An Aesthetic Comparison of Modelled Versus Traditional Guitar Amplification Technology.”

Rob released his debut instrumental guitar album “Chronicles” in 2013. He was also successful in auditioning and gaining acceptance into the guitar program at Berklee College of Music in Boston, one of the most prestigious contemporary music colleges in the world.

Rob’s guitar style is a combination of technique, attitude, and the precision/disciplined approach of instrumental progressive rock music — fused with emotional and melodic textures of blues, swing and jazz guitar influences.
